Outlaw Harry Longbaugh, also known as the Sundance Kid

Harry Longbaugh, better known as the Sundance Kid, was a notorious outlaw and member of the Wild Bunch gang in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Alongside his partner-in-crime, Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid gained a reputation for his daring train robberies and bank heists across the American West.

Longbaugh earned the nickname "Sundance Kid" due to his alleged involvement in a robbery of the Union Pacific Overland Flyer train near Sundance, Wyoming in 1889. The heist was a brazen display of cunning and skill, further solidifying the Sundance Kid's status as a legendary outlaw.

Despite his criminal activities, the Sundance Kid was known for his charm and charisma, which made him a favorite among the public and a thorn in the side of law enforcement. His partnership with Butch Cassidy, as well as their close relationship with infamous outlaw Etta Place, only added to the Sundance Kid's mystique and notoriety.

Throughout his criminal career, the Sundance Kid managed to evade capture numerous times, earning a reputation as a skilled escape artist. However, his luck eventually ran out, and he met his demise during a shootout with Bolivian soldiers in 1908.

Despite his untimely end, the Sundance Kid's legend lives on in popular culture, with numerous books, movies, and TV shows inspired by his exploits. His daring escapades and larger-than-life persona continue to captivate audiences to this day.

So, while Harry Longbaugh may have been his given name, it is as the Sundance Kid that he will forever be remembered in the annals of history as one of the most infamous outlaws of the Wild West.
