What religion was founded by Siddhartha Gautama?

Siddhartha Gautama, also known as the Buddha, founded the religion of Buddhism. Born in the 6th century BCE, Siddhartha Gautama was a noble prince who lived in what is now modern-day Nepal. Instead, it focuses on personal spiritual development through meditation, ethical conduct, and mindfulness. The ultimate goal of Buddhism is to reach nirvana, a state of complete liberation from suffering and the cycle of birth and death.

It has various schools and traditions, including Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana, each with its own practices and beliefs.
