The Brownies, which are now known as junior Girl Guides, used to be named Rosebuds. The Rosebuds program was created in 1914 as a way to engage younger girls in the Guiding movement. The name was changed to Brownies in 1915, and the program has continued to evolve and grow ever since.

Today, Brownies are a vital part of the Girl Guides organization, providing girls aged 7-10 with a fun and engaging way to learn new skills, make friends, and contribute to their communities. Brownies participate in a wide range of activities, from outdoor adventures to arts and crafts projects, all while earning badges and developing important life skills.
