The Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC), established in 2006, has been tasked with prosecuting the senior leaders of the Khmer Rouge for their crimes against humanity. This ongoing process of reconciliation and justice is crucial for Cambodia to heal from the wounds of the past and move towards a more peaceful and prosperous future.
