During the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, two other fighting ships were sunk along with the USS Arizona. These two ships were the USS Oklahoma and the USS Utah.

The USS Oklahoma was a battleship that was hit by multiple torpedoes during the Japanese attack. The ship capsized quickly, trapping many crew members inside. A total of 429 crew members lost their lives in the sinking of the USS Oklahoma. The ship was later salvaged and its wreckage was sold for scrap metal.

The USS Utah was a target ship that was hit by torpedoes and capsized during the attack. Although it was not a battleship like the USS Arizona, the sinking of the USS Utah resulted in the loss of 58 crew members. The ship was considered a total loss and ultimately became a memorial to those who lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor.

These two additional sinkings, along with the loss of the USS Arizona, were a devastating blow to the United States Navy and marked the beginning of the country's involvement in World War II.
