Anemometers are instruments equipped with rotating cups or propellers that spin faster as the wind speed increases. These instruments convert the rotation into an electrical signal, which can then be used to determine the wind speed.
Wind speed is typically measured in units of meters per second (m/s), kilometers per hour (km/h), or miles per hour (mph). The measurement units can be converted between each other to meet different needs.
Understanding wind speed is crucial for both safety and operational purposes.
