The construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1632 and took over 20 years to complete. More than 20,000 workers were involved in the construction process, including skilled craftsmen, masons, and laborers. The materials used to build the Taj Mahal were carefully selected from different parts of India and other countries. The white marble, sourced from Rajasthan, was transported to Agra by a fleet of over 1,000 elephants.

The Taj Mahal complex consists of several structures, including the main mausoleum, a mosque, a guesthouse, and beautiful gardens. The central structure houses the tombs of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. The intricate marble inlay work, calligraphy, and decorative elements throughout the complex showcase the extraordinary craftsmanship of the artisans.
